Boston vs Lakers for the 2010 NBA Championship

“The two most historic rivals in all of sports will meet in the ultimate of all sporting events, the race of nine months decided in three hours, 104 games whittled down to one.” This was what LA Times said in its article about the anticipated match between Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. There were actually seven games all in all during the finals to be able to determine who the real winner of the match is. Well, flash forward, LA Lakers won the 2010 NBA championship with a score of 73-89 during the final game. Some rejoiced while some heaved big sighs. Sadly for the Celtics, they’ve already prepared boxes of championship caps ready for distribution. Nevertheless, at least it was such a close fight rather than having the Celtics trampled deep in the ground.

Ok so I was actually talking about basketball in the first paragraph. Wow. With all honesty, I’m not really into sports. Like seriously, until now, the rules and games of such sports like volleyball and basketball are still unfamiliar to me. During basketball games, I get puzzled why all of a sudden, there’s some “foul” in the game. I really don’t get it and sometimes i don't even try to. So yeah I don’t watch basketball games for the reason stated in the sentence before this but this time I actually watched the game between Celtics and Lakers. The only reason why I watched was because I was only interested on who was winning. My friend and I had a bet that if Celtics would win, I could ask him to do something for me. But if Lakers will bring home victory, then I guess I’ll become subjected to his consequence. If it weren’t for that, then I wouldn’t spend so much time staring at the television screen for some basketball game.

There’s always a reason why things are the way they seem to be. As for me, I’m not into sports because I suck at it. What’s ironic is that when I was 10 years old, I thought I was sporty. Looking back makes me laugh at my old self. What was I thinking? Oh well… I was able to presume that I wasn’t sporty when I tried volleyball back in my high school days. I thought I was getting “in the zone” but I realized my efforts weren’t enough to catch up with some of my classmates who were naturally good at that sport. I know it’s not good to give up but I did. I had a history with badminton wherein I wasn’t good at it, too. And oh yeah, I also don’t know how to stay still in the waters (e.g. pool, beach). Anyway why force myself into something I didn’t really LOVE at the first place? Maybe that time I was just really trying to search for that “something” I was good at- and maybe until now. Nevertheless, I now know that sports doesn’t love me enough to give me extra chances. Hahaha!

Cheerleading: My Love For It and Why Should It be an Olympic Sport

Top Gun All Stars- World's #1 Cheerleading team

So why should Cheerleading be an official sport in the Olympic Games? Well if you've watched the video above, you will know that Cheerleaders are not just jolly people who cheer for their schools and universities. They are also athletes and they are the most versatile among them. They dance, they lift, they tumble, they do stunts which are highly death-defying... THEY CAN ALMOST DO ANYTHING!

I decided to join our school's pep squad (CSA Raptors) during the last week of my freshman year. They were recruiting new members back then and because I was impressed by their team, I decided to give it a try. I trained with the team and it wasn't easy at all! Everything looks very easy if you're a part of the audience but it's actually 1000000x harder than it looks (Well, I was exaggerating a bit haha).

At first, I can't do a simple lift and I can't even do a decent cartwheel (I always landed headfirst)! But as months went by, muscles started to grow on my shoulders and I learned how to execute simple stunts. During my sophomore year, our team decided to join the National Cheerleading Championship for the very first time. I was very excited and very overwhelmed because we'd be competing with the best squads around the country. Luckily, we reached the National Finals and landed on a decent spot (7th out of 11 teams). After that experience, my love for Cheerleading grew by miles. I started to appreciate it and respect each and everyone who can do the sport very well!

So yeah, Cheerleading should be an Olympic sport because every cheerleader undergoes a very hard training that develops their skills and discipline. Just like every other team sports, Cheerleading is a sport where teamwork is very much needed and a squad should work as one to perfect their routine. I really do HOPE that they consider Cheerleading as an Olympic sport in the future. :)

How to Wear that Moustache with CONFIDENCE

Yeah, you’ve read it right. World’s Moustache Competition. Don’t worry, I was also stunned when I’ve read about this the first time. “Weh, hindi nga?” =)) It’s like amazing and surprising that there is such a sports competition like this. I am really unaware of this, seriously. While I was reading the article, you know what, I really can’t help but laugh and say “Huh? Ang cool naman ng mga ‘to,” because I really find them amazing! Imagine, they were able to wear “astig bigotes and balbas” with varying styles and extremely shocking appearances which match their faces. One thing more that really gives an impact to me is their confidence. These people are really confident to showcase their assets. I mean, yep, they are in a competition, but I believe these cool people are not only after the prize or whatnot. They also want to bring delight, fun, and enjoyment to the general public while showcasing an expression of their personality – in this case, through their astig moustaches, beards, and goatees. Watch this!

While browsing at the funny pictures (I find them funny, seriously), I am somewhat like thinking of what are in their minds. Let’s see!

<------Oh no! He looks like he's gonna eat me with those whiskers. *rawr* I'm sorry man, I can be tamed xD

<-----I'm sorry but that beard makes me think he's a DOM xD I don't know why! He looks like a rapist in that beard! And then look at his smile =)) :-&

<-----Isn't those the stuffs in Wolverine's hands? =))

<-----*pervy look* Look at his smile! =)) xD

<-----What's the matter, man? You look so serious in that beard >_<

<-----What do you think he resemble if will add two more tentacle-life stuff?

<-----This one is creepy, seriously! xD

<-----Hey! You look like my dad xD

Anyway, I don't own a prerogative to judge them. They chose this. And I got so fascinated! =))
Come a century or two, I won't be surprised if this sports would evolve into something which does no longer involves moustache but rather its counterpart in the most sensitive part of a human's body. We'll never know! =)) We, humans, are really broad-minded!

2010 FIFA World Cup is on!!!

Government appeals to the nation to continue rallying behind the country's hosting of the historic 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The South Africa government advises South Africans to show hospitality to visitors during the historic event of 2010 FIFA World Cup. The spokensperson, Themba Maseko, says "The success fo the tournament is dependent on our hospitality as a host nation. After all, this is still our World Cup. It is upon us to make it a success."

Most of the public facilities are open for free during the FIFA World Cup events. The government suggests the visitors that they plan and use these facillities such as Fan Parks and Public Veiwing Areas before watching the actual World Cup events.

I've been longing to write a blog about sports and finally, I can express my excitment of waiting this FIFA WORLD CUP 2010. FIFA WORLD CUP is like Olympics that happens every four years.

Because of this event, I couldn't study much because i definitely ahd to watch the game.

As a South Korean, I watched the game, Korean vs. Greece on June 13,2010. With all my fellow korean friends, we were shouting for our country and fortunately we won by 2:0!! Yeah!! :D I was so thrilled back then.

However... most of the Koreans had the anxiety about Korea fighting against Argentina. The game was on June 23,2010. We had definitely gave out everything to Argentina for they were so powerful and coordinated wisely. we lost by 1:4. It was quite a shame but we still have one more around with Nigeria. Korea really has to win to join the best 16 teams of the World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup is a magnificent event that every nation is thrilled with. I hope all the participating countries do well especially the Republic of Korea :D

AND LAKERS DID IT AGAIN!

18th of June 2010

When Ms. Ikin instructed us to write a blog about sports, I first thought of writing about my sport which is Badminton. Today is a big day for Basketball and it suddenly made my day. We have no classes but I really tried to wake up early just to watch the game 7 of the NBA Finals. Since I was a little girl, I am already a big Los Angeles Lakers fan and the guy wearing that number 24 jersey is my favorite player since then. :) They were the champions of the last season and I hoped they would win again this time.

This NBA season was truly a must-watch. Almost everyone was talking about it every day of this week. Some even bet for the team they love and I was one of them. (Oh yes, I won!)

So there, the game already began. I was so excited about it. I expected tooooo much from Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers were the first one to score but the opposing team, Boston Celtics, lead the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter of the game. Then they were already playing for the last quarter!!! Woooohoooo! The crowd was so hype because there was really a close fight between the two teams.

I can’t deny it; Boston Celtics were really good, too. When they lead by 11 points, I told myself “Wala na, talo na. Pangit ng laro ng Lakers ngayon.” BUUUUUUUUUT! I was wrong about that. =)) The Lakers truly strived hard to tie with the opposing team and they did it well. :) They played even better after they tied with Celtics. I enjoyed watching the game this morning and I was really proud of Bryant. He let his other teammates shine this time. =) It wasn’t Kobe Bryant versus Boston Celtics anymore. =)))))) And oh, I love Pau Gasol, too! He was really a great help for the team to win. He might not be the best player but I know that he did his best in this season’s finals. The Los Angeles team really showed their fans that they were determined to make it this time AGAIN. :)

In the end, LA Lakers still dominated with the final score of 83 versus 78 of the Boston Celtics. My Kobe Bryant ♥ got the MVP title again. I’m really proud to be a Los Angeles Lakers fan. They will always be my favorite NBA team. LET’S GO KOBE! LET’S GO LAKERS! ♥

Lakers #1 again!

I read the article about Bryant's interview but i won't center on that. I'll focus on Lakers.XD

The series was tied, 3-3, it was decided last Friday morning if you're in the Philippines. The game seemed like it was Celtics' early in the game, Lakers defense and offense were lame in the first two quarters. They just keep on trying to catch up but cannot make a lead. Then everything changed after the halftime. The Lakers got their game going and everyone in the team is making points. Not just Bryant, but even bench players. Bryant showed that he can be a good team player that time. Maybe his shooting was crappy that's why he just went to like a "team mode" but it actually was good. The fourth quarter came, the battle between the two neared the end. The firtst lead by the Lakers was achieved through free-throws. The Lakers was good at getting fouls. Bryant even got three even if he was the one who put his hand under the defender's arm. That just showed how important being smart in basketball is. The Celtics tried to catch up by doing consecutive threes but the little Fisher got one as well. In the final minute, an unknown Lakers player got fouled and shot free-throws. He thought we was so good that he jumped all over showing his jersey, an amateur I guess. I remembered a Celtics player that looks like a comedian because of him. After a few seconds, both of them are out.XD In the end, Lakers win 83-79 if I am not mistaken.

This game wasn't as good as other championship games but it was exciting. Lots of turn overs, Failed free-throws, not much amazing shots, and Bryant's cold play made this game boring at some point. But it really showed that people change, perfect example, Bryant, he became a good boy. On second thought, it wasn't boring. Gasol and Artest showed they are good players. Gasol's game was simple but is always effective. He simply moves towards the ring, and shoot, easy as that. Artest showed he can score like Bryant that game. He made lots of points for the team when Bryant's shooting failed. I guess what they say about Lakers isn't true, Lakers have good players other than Bryant.

In the end, the comissioner congratulated the Lakers, gave the trophies and award and gave the mic to the old owner of the Lakers. He was happy because he is rich again, thanks to his team. And again, the unknown player thinks he is the star and stood next to the great ones. He truly is funny yet annoying. I hope I don't see him again in their future games.

Wie Wins!!!

Michelle Wie is well-known in the field of golf. At the age of 20, she finally won her first professional tournament at LPGA's Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is a remarkable person for she possess the talent both in sports and academics. Despite her perfect swing, it took her a long time to win another tournament in LPGA. Still, she is one of the best golfers known by the world. It was tough for her during the tournament since other competitors were really good.

Wie is not just a golfer but also a college student pursuing her communications degree at Stanford University. She is in her third year and has a GPA of 3.4. A remarkable person indeed. If I remember correctly, she was the youngest to qualify for the Women's U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship. She was only 10 years old at that time...

I love the article. I admire Michelle Wie. Not only is she pretty, tall (about 6 feet) and a pro in golf but also excellent in academics. I am always interested in reading articles about her. After hearing the news that she won, I felt really happy and made me become more serious in playing golf. I idolize her and I can't think of a single thing that would make me dislike her.

A Victorious Win By the LA Lakers

The NBA Championships has just ended today with an 83-79 win by the Los Angeles Lakers. MVP Kobe Bryant was really determined to win the championship even if he was injured. Although the Lakers’ shooting was not that accurate, their offense pulled them up. The Celtics were very aggressive in the first few quarters, but their energy slowly diminished as the game progressed. If they had not gone all out on the first quarters, the Celtics might just win the game. However, no one can match with Kobe Bryant’s amazing talent in basketball. I personally believe that he is the most skilled player in the NBA today. He was mainly the one who carried the Lakers to their triumphant success.

Truthfully speaking, I am not a sporty girl. I do NOT like sports. It’s not that I hate it or anything. But because I’m not good at it, I grew to dislike it. If dancing and brisk walking can be considered as a sport, then those are the only “sports” I can perform. My dad and my little sister are the people in my family who are interested in that area. My dad watches NBA games, Pacquiao’s matches, and other events, while my little sister plays games on our PS2 and Xbox360 consoles like the NFL American football, boxing, NBA, and others.

The basketball game between the Lakers and the Celtics was the talk of the whole block. That was why I started to try to get to know more about basketball and the NBA players. I also accompanied my friends and watched the sixth game last Wednesday. But, sad to say, I did not get to watch today’s game. After all the Purple-Yellow-Green madness, I became a Lakers-lover like my dad and my little sister. To be exact, I think that Kobe Bryant is a very amazing athlete. His determination and skill are like no other. Someday, I want to become just like him. ‘When you really want something, you cannot just give up. You have to strive hard and work for it.’ That was the virtue I saw in Kobe Bryant. From this day on, Kobe Bryant has just become one of my role models in life.

GO LAKERS :)

I guess you guys know what I’m going to talk about since its sports. :)) LAKERS vs. Celtics. I know you never know if you know what’s that other team? Oh Celtics! :)) is going to win but I’m a Lakers fan. Just kidding Lakers might get karma. Anyways in the article they were talking about teamwork. This is the main point in it. That if Lakers continue to play with teamwork they really will win the Championship. And to think that they were having a hard time with just one player- KOBE what more if they all worked together. Just like what happened in game 6. Big lead there for Lakers :)) sorry Celtics fans in our block :)) So really it’s all about teamwork for them to win the championship.

Personally I know the feeling that when somebody doesn’t move in the team. If the bench doesn’t contribute. Its really hard to win a game. We experienced the same thing before but not relying on just one person but we were in sync with each other. We lacked the teamwork or maybe the will to win. It was the worst ever. You just want to scream out of frustration because the people that you count on because they have better skills that you are the ones that did nothing at all. Its hard to suffer defeats because of that. But eventually we learned to be one and I think Lakers just needs the extra oomph in them to win.

So back to the Lakers thing and enough with the drama :)) I really think that they’re going to win the championship and I really do hope because if Lakers lose I’m never going to hear the end of it especially from April and Vince :)) so I hope they win. But I really think they’ll win. And to think before Kobe was the only one doing practically everything and they were already having a very hard time. Do I really have to say more? :)) Not to be so arrogant I’m just rooting for Lakers. My family is a big Lakers fan since then especially my Lolo.I miss him :(

So Game 7 is today I hope Lakers win! :)) Go Lakers! And I can’t seem to move on when Kobe knocked that 3 pointer with 3 players defending him. OH! Good times :)) I think this game will be a really good one so before I stop with this blog, GO LAKERS!

GAME 7 83-79 woohoo! LAKERS!

I, Me, Mine

I, Me, Mine

It really is about you. It’s the rise of the individual. While sharing has come into its own in restaurant concepts (goodbye additional plate charge), there is a separate but equal trend toward individuality. It’s part of the reason why we are making our own cheese, smoking our own meats, and making our own specialty desserts.
Blame the cupcake, which brought attention to the individual dessert trend, but people are now casting about for the next cupcake. Even pizza delivery got into the game with Domino’s individual lava cakes. Expect more attention to the individual, but it’s not just about portion size—it’s also about food that reflects personality. Expect places like Flat Top Grill, where you pull all your own ingredients for any meal of the day (what will you put in your pancake?) to thrive because they cater to you.
With the decline of the economy, it’s more important than ever that you have a voice. We are not letting go of our own M.O. In the Great Depression, people lost their individuality and became “the masses.” In this Great Recession, we are fighting to maintain our identity. So, we pull out the camera phone before we pull out the forks, snapping away at the food we have either prepared or special ordered to capture the creation.
Think about it—do the casual dining establishments have much personality, or do they all run together? The reality is most of them have a limited repertoire when it comes to seasoning, because that’s the only way they can control things with untrained cooks in the back-of-the-house. The trend, though, is toward infusing food and establishments with personality, and it’s why some of them have claimed celebrity chefs and more interesting menus to go along with it. Expect the flavor to begin to accommodate the rise in personal preference and expectations.
As the saying goes, you are what you eat. It’s all about your own taste and preferences whether it comes to gadgets, clothes, and most especially food. What you eat reflects your personality believe it or not. The sauces we add to our food, the desserts that satisfy are sweet tooth, and all those reflect something about us. Since it’s all about who you are, it would be nice to have the perfect food that would fulfill your desires. With the wide array of choices in the market right now, you can satisfy your taste buds in no time. There are so much mouth watering food available in the market and there’s a massive variety of restaurants wherever you go, whether you’re in the mood for Japanese, American, Chinese, Mexican, you name it. Now it’s up to you to choose whether which type of food will satisfy your needs.

Safety First!

According to the Wikipedia, a dietary supplement, also known as food supplement or nutritional supplement, is defined as a preparation intended to supplement the diet and provide nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, fatty acids, or amino acids, that may be missing or may not be consumed in sufficient quantity in a person's diet. Some countries define dietary supplements as foods, while in others they are defined as drugs or natural health products. Nowadays, the production of dietary supplements became massive as more than half of the adult Americans use these kinds of nonfood substances. The Food and Drug Administration, an agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, one of the United States federal executive departments, responsible for protecting and promoting public health through the regulation and supervision of food safety, tobacco products, dietary supplements, prescription and over-the-counter drugs, vaccines, biopharmaceuticals, blood transfusions, medical devices, electromagnetic radiation emitting devices (ERED), veterinary products, and cosmetics, is asking for an authority to inspect more on the dietary supplements to ensure the safety of the consumers knowing that these supplements are not considered as drugs or food that is why there is no need of approval on these items. They are asking the Congress if they could more power to look over these supplements because there are many cases of hospitalization and health problems reported involving the use of dietary supplements. Moreover it could be dangerous to the health of the consumers that is why security and safety are what matter most.

Food is one of the most essential necessities of man. It is needed for us to survive. During the early times, people have learned to amass wild berries and herbs in order for them to sustain themselves. Several years after man discovered fire, they learned to cook thus becoming erudite in hunting animals for meat as part of their food source. As they become civilized, they learned to plant their own crops and they are to able raise domestic animals. People’s way of living have just evolved until the present times, they have invented such dietary supplements to supply the nutrients that are insufficient. Food became instant as it flows with the current of the fast changing world.

These additional sources of food are not really dreadful as long as it is in the appropriate use. These are only indications that people find alternative resources of food for the amelioration of human life. Just be aware of the alterations happening to this fast changing world and everything would work out just fine.

Chinese Tea

Chinese tea play an important role in traditional Chinese life. It's already became a kind of culture. Like sushi belongs to Japan, kimchi is an endorsement of Korean dish. When people talk about Chinese tea, they couldn't help to think of China.
I am a big fan of Chinese tea, but I am not addicted to it, since it has the same effect with coffee. You can drink some tea at night while you have a lot of work to do,that'll help to sober you up.
There are many kinds of Chinese tea, such as Green Tea, Black Tea, Oolong Tea, White Tea, Yellow Tea, Dark Tea, Re-manufactured tea.
Green Tea
Main process of manufacture: plucking, withering, twisting, fixation (inactivation), backing
Main characters: Green leaf and light soap, the key point is fresh, non-fermented tea
Divided to four kinds by different ways of fixation (inactivation):
1) Roasted ----- Representative Tea: Long jing, Bi luo chun, Jin mei.
2) Backed ----- Representative Tea: Huangshan maofong
3) Sun withering: ----- Mainly in Yunnang, Shichuan, Shangxi provinces
4) Steamed: ----- Mainly in Japan, representative Tea: YuLu
Black Tea
Main process of manufacture: plucking, withering, twisting, fermentation, backing
Main characters: Red leaf and red soap, deep flavor, fully fermented.
Different kinds:
1) Congou ----- Representative Tea: Yunnan red tea, Keemum tea (Qihong), Minghong
2) Souchong ----- Representative Tea: Lapsang (拉普山), Smoked Lapsang
3) Broken Black
Oolong Tea
Main process of manufacture: plucking, rolling, fixation, twisting, backing
Main characters: Golden soap, Green leaf with red sides, half fermented
Different kinds:
1) Southern Fujian oolong ----- Representative Tea: Tikuanyin, Shezhong
2) Northern Fujian oolong ----- Representative Tea: Wuyi Rock-essence Tea (Including ShuiXin, RouGui, DaHongPao), Jinou Shui Xin
3) Gangdong oolong ----- Representative Tea: Phoenix ShuiXin, DangChong
4) Taiwan oolong ----- Representative Tea:Dongding tea
White Tea

1) White buds tea ----- Representative Tea:silver needle
2) White leaf tea ----- Representative Tea: white peony
Yellow Tea
Main Process of manufacture: plucking, fixation, over brewing, fixation, backing
1) Mengding yellow buds, JunShan silver needle
2) Small yellow tea ----- Representative Tea: Beigang silver needle, WeiShan silver needle
3) Large yellow tea ----- Representative Tea: HuoShan large yellow tea, Guandong large leaf tea
Dark Tea
Main process of manufacture: plucking, fixation, twisting, pile-fermentation, backing
Main Characters: Dry tea is very dark, yellow soap, afterwards fermented
1) Hunang dark tea ----- Representative Tea: Anshi
2) Hunang dark tea ----- Representative Tea: Dark green tea
3) Sichuan brick tea
4) Yuannang&GuanXi dark tea ----- Representative Tea: Puer
Re-manufactured tea:
1) Flower tea: Jasmine Tea, Osmanthus scented tea
2) Pressed tea: Caky Tea, Brick Tea
3) Extracted tea: Easy dissolve tea, concentrated tea
4) Fruit flavor tea: Milk tea
5) Medical Tea
6) Tea Beverage
I like to drink Jasmine Tea.It’s one of the most delicious varieties of flavored tea around, regardless of the type of tea used. Whether you choose black, white, oolong or green Jasmine tea, you’re sure to be delighted by its fragrant bouquet and its sweet taste. It complements every flavor of tea and creates a soothing and delicious beverage whether hot or cold. And jasmine tea is a healthy beverage, too.
We Chinese believe that Jasmine tea can keep us slim and healthy. Some people even said that always drink Jasmine Tea will keep the cancer away. But there is no scientific evidence for that.
In my point of view, Chinese tea is not only a beverage, whatever you think Chinese tea is, Chinese tea is a life time of enjoyment.

I Smell Some Blood! :D

Of all the exotic foods that Philippines has, the balut, papaitan and dinuguan (pork blood stew)dinuguan is what I like the most. I just simply don’t like to taste the other exotic foods like fried frogs, snakes, bayawak (monitor lizard), etc. In other words, I’m herpetophobic. And the one that I find the most disgusting of all is the fried or sautéed tateg, huge worms that can be found on rotten trees or rotten stack of rice hays. I don’t want to talk more about those things, let’s just go to my favorite dish, the dinuguan. are the only ones that I have tasted. Of the three,

Before I start, I just want to mention something about tinumis. It’s the Nueva Ecijano’s version of the dinuguan. It is closely similar to dinuguan, only it uses ground pork as opposed to dinuguan’s pork that is cut in chunks. Nanay, my fraternal grandmother, cooks tinumis everytime we go to their place in Nueva Ecija during vacations. Immediately, the giddiness that I get from the long trip fades away as I smell the aroma of the tinumis. I’ll quickly run to the dining table and start eating. Eating tinumis is my favorite part of the vacation. Paring this dish with the original puto will surely make you feel like you’re in heaven. I’m serious. You may wonder why I mentioned “original puto” earlier. Just for your information, the original puto that I’m referring to is puto made from ground kernels of rice. They are more delicious than puto’s made from ordinary flour, the ones that are colored.

Tinumis is great for the main meals and also merienda’s! The sour flavor from the vinegar, the fantastic flavor of the tanglad (lemon grass) and the soft feeling of the pork’s blood are great combination that makes tinumis an excellent exotic food.

So, if you are ever interested in cooking tinumis, here’s how:

First, you will need to have these ingredients:

1 kilo ground pork (whole skin included, separated from meat)

200 grams pork liver, chunked

3 cups pork blood

1 cup vinegar

1 tali tanglad (lemon grass)

8 green peppers

3 cloves of garlic, chopped

1 medium-sized onion, chopped

Salt

Pepper

Water

Let’s get cooking! :D

1. Season pork and the pork skin with salt and pepper. Then, add garlic, onion and vinegar. Dump everything in a casserole. Don’t stir for the first 2 minutes or until vinegar is cooked. Bring to a simmer until vinegar seeps into the meat ensemble. Add water when necessary until the meat is cooked.

2. Midway into cooking, add liver, tanglad and peppers. Remove pork skin and cut into fine cubes. Throw back into the mixture.

3. Meantime, strain in pork blood onto the mixture. Coarsely chunk the blood left on the strainer and throw back into the mixture again. Continue simmering until meat is cooked. Serve hot.

Delizioso! :D

If there are two wishes that I want to come true 1st: be able to eat all the food that I want without getting fat and 2nd : be as good as my mom when it comes to cooking. Eating is my passion, my favorite hobby but unfortunately, I am a very frustrated cook. Just a slight splash of oil on my hand makes me run for my life out of the kitchen.

Thank God for my mom! She’s the greatest cook I’ve ever known and I’m sure many of my friends share the same sentiment. Pastas and bread recipes are her specialties that’s the reason why I learned to appreciate them so much.

My top two favorites are:

Lasagna. Oh my Lasagna! Just hearing the word makes my eyes sparkle and my heart go crazy. This is Love! Love! Love! :)

Unluckily, my mom rarely cooks this recipe because aside from being expensive it is also laborious to prepare. I tried eating lasagnas cooked by others before but nothing compares to the great taste cooking of my mom. The perfect mix of the spices and ingredients, oohooh! I’m getting hungry honey. HAHAHA. :D

Pizza roll makes my friends drool. They LOVE this food and they ADORE my mom.

It is not an overstatement, it is entirely true. Pizza roll is made of bread, hotdogs, tomato sauce and other ingredients which are completely common and simple but my friends and I love this very much anyway.

Aside from my mom’s cooking, there is one thing I can never say NO to and that is chocolates. Yumyum! :D Well, I don’t expect everyone to be a chocoholic like me but I pity those who are xocolatophobic. They’re missing ¾ part of their life.

Chocolate is my comfort food. It helps me relax on a very stressful day and a small bite of it never fails to delight me always. I feel as if I am a small kid again.

But as others often say, anything that’s too much is harmful for anyone.

Remember: Gluttony is a mortal sin. :D In my case, I have to watch the amount of sweets that I intake especially that diabetes runs in our family blood.
