I've never been this stressed @_@

Yeah, I’m stressed. No, it should be this way – I am stressed to the highest level. Oh no, the stress is freakingly peeving, annoying, ruining, etc. I’ve never been this stressed for my entire life. Okay, let’s all put the blame to the following:

1.     1.   LRT. Waah, I’m fed up. Fed up with this mode of transportation. Try to ride the LRT EVERYDAY and I am very sure that you will feel the same. I think words are not enough to describe how PEEVING, ANNOYING, and DAY-RUINING my everyday-LRT ride is! Imagine, it’s like an everyday STAMPEDE! Whoah. And it’s not only that. Before getting inside the train, I am very composed, I smell good, and I am stress-free. But after 40 minutes of getting into the sardines-like thing, oh no. I look like a mess. I smell like hell. And I feel jittery. I can no longer stand this! It brings me lots of stress! Seriously, this is so stressing. I am planning to rent a unit or dormitory around taft, but I can’t find anyone to be with me to defray my expenses. What is really really disappointing, aggravating, and regretting, is about my phone. Yeah, I lost my phone in the LRT. Someone did rob it inside my pocket. Because of the sardines-like situation, I didn’t feel any touch. I never knew that there exists people of no conscience at all. Never, as in never. Sayang yung phone ko, grabe.

2.      2.  Time Management. Can someone please stop the moving of the clock? Damn it, I can’t manage my time! No matter how I try to fix my schedule, I can’t really manage my time that much. I don’t have time anymore for my family, for watching the news, etc. I’d expected for this. But it’s really hard talaga to manage time especially if you are a Lasallian. Time. Time. Time. Please, have mercy on me.

3.      3.  ACTABS1. About this thing, I am not just stressed. I am very, very, stressed. I failed three quizzes and have not yet pass any. The thing is, this is my major. So much expectations are in my shoulders. I can’t live with all of these expectations any longer. Darn it, it’s really hard. Very, very hard. I don’t know what will I do if I fail. Seriously, I don’t know what will I do.

Stress, c’mon. Step out.

Suffering in Accounting

               Surviving accounting is not an easy task. You will need determination, strong will and skill. To survive, you must also be ready of what you will face. And to be prepared, you must know and learn how studying accounting in De La Salle University is like. One of the things that make it hard to study accounting in De La Salle is the unbelievably high passing grade of 83% that has caused a lot of misfortune on accountancy students.

~~~~~~~Effects of accounting~~~~~~
               During my first days as an accountancy major froshie, I view accounting as just one of the normal courses in De La Salle. I even tried out for the pep squad and eventually passed the try outs knowing that I can balance my time between studies and pep. But as I ventured out around De La Salle campus, I have realized the tribulation accountancy brings to students. Numerous students and even professors told our block, “Weh accounting kayo?! haha!!” and even “Ay, accounting ako… DATI!”. Those were the painstaking words that stroke us. Most of all, when they ask who’s our professor and then we answer “Ms. Velasco po.”, their reaction was like “GOSH! Velasco baby kayo? GOODLUCK!”. By that time, we were all aware that our life is at risk, seriously. J Well although we were threatened that our professor is Ms. Velasco, some say that we are still lucky because we have the benefit of gaining more knowledge in accounting than other BSA students.
               Many accountancy majors students in the upperclassmen have shared their pains and hardships in BSA. Because of the degree of difficulty, they had to give up their social life. Because of this, I doubted of quiting in the pep squad because I can hardly manage my time. Our class is dismissed at 6:00 pm and immediately goes to training because our training starts at the same time. Exhausted and sleepy, I arrive home at 12 midnight and wakes up at 6:00 am to catch up with my 8:00 am class. Because of the traffic, oftentimes I arrive late in class. I know, it sounds unrealistic right?
               As long as I am in the major program, accountancy will serve as a threat to my life in DLSU. Why? its simple. Accountancy is like a hard-to-get person. If I don’t give time to accounting, I will fail.  As long as I’m staying in the program, my mind shall be filled with worries and I will rarely have the peace of mind that “I will pass accounting”. The despairing fact is, I have already established my dedication and passion for BSA, to the extent that I sacrificed to loose my cheerleading career and time for my family and friends.
I love accounting, But why can’t the BSA program love me? L
               I’m still starting my Accountancy life and as early as now, is experiencing a lot of trouble coping up with the basic accounting lessons. This made me realize how ignorant and weak I am. But I choose not to quit, for failing is part of success. I am now willing to take chances and sacrifices just to pass accounting. I am now ready to give up my social life, my interests, my luxury time and even my time for myself. I prefer to make sacrifices and suffer during college life so that I can have a life of lavishness after I graduate than to have a lax life in college and then having trouble after graduation because I can’t find any employment. I’m doing this for my future. J
              This program has become the subject of fear and at times, contempt for students. What several students fail to recognize, however, is that the brainchild of the Accountancy Department they are experiencing is the best so far. And like what our dear Ms. Velasco has said and inspired us….
             “Accountancy is not a race, it does not matter who gets first, what matter is you get to the finish line.”
This Isn't as Fun as I Thought
        Just yesterday, the midterms for ACTBAS1 or basic accounting was finally over and I wasn't that happy with my performance- I wasn't able to finish on time. Anyway, despite that misfortune, I was still glad that I had friends whom I could be with. But then, after that, of course everyone had to go home, however, I stayed for a while in the library. When I went out, I noticed there was a concert held in the Central Plaza and so I went to check it out. There, to my amazement, was one of my favorite bands, Urbandub, playing a significant song that took me back to my hometown Cebu City.
"How I wish my closest high school friends were here," I sighed while I was caught in a trance, watching the band playing from afar. I've always wanted to be in an Urbandub concert while surrounded by my closest friends; but then I know I wouldn't be able to do that because they're far away from me. So, on my way home while walking along the dirty sidewalk of Taft, I asked myself what my plans would be for the weekend. I really couldn't think of anything aside from studying for next Monday's midterms. Seriously, where's all that fun and excitement that my acquaintances assured me of being in Manila? Yes, sure, it is pretty interesting that I have a little freedom here; I could actually go to the mall and go back home safely without me having to ask permission from my mom but then what's the use when I don't really have anybody to be with? I don't really have friends that live just somewhere along Taft Avenue aside from a few blockmates. But still, this solitary state of mine is really depressing. I just wanna go back to Cebu, even just for a day.
Skip Beat!
 "SKIP BEAT!"
If you are thinking that this is about love, then you are correct! The title itself gives the idea regarding the content of the blog entry. You might be thinking that I thought of it by myself. Sorry to diappoint you, but I wasn't the one behind it. It's actually the title of one of my favorite animes.
Love triangle :)
Skip Beat is an anime consisting of twenty-five episodes. It's story is about a girl named Mogami Kyoko who loved Fuwa Sho, her childhood friend to the extent that she left everything in order to help him achieve his goal of becoming a superstar. Despite all sacrifices she made, Sho never paid attention and cruelly used her as a stepping-stone for his dreams. After finding out about her childhood friend's intentions, Kyoko swore to take revenge on him by entering showbiz. She had different roles as an actress and bit by bit, she improves.
If you think that this is a serious and a very dramatic show, then you are completely wrong! It's actually very hilarious and very entertaining to watch. There is no episode that I hate. I love it all. I guess that's what you expect from an otaku like me. LOL! I remember when I first read it's summary. I seriously thought it was a boring show since the drawings of some of the characters aren't as good compared to other animes. I wondered why it's one of the top viewed animes so I tried checking it out. I watched it and... and... and... I LOVE IT! I felt like my heart was going to skip a beat. (Wow! It fits the title! LOL!)
I always watch it even if I have finished watching all episodes. I even downloaded it and from time to time, I watch it to remove my stress. To be honest, it's really effective. LOL! I can't help but love the roles Kyoko portrays whenever she's acting. But sometimes, I get pissed off with other characters especially Fuwa Sho.
As indicated in the article, Kyoko is a unique heroine and I agree to that. In my opinion, it's what makes the show better. As I said before, I love Skip Beat and same goes for its characters (even Fuwa Sho). Although the drawings are lacking of quality, I still like it beacuse the plot is interesting.
Yumi's JPOP Series - 1: "AKB48" [Part One]
Konnichiwa! I'm Camille~also known as YUMI!!! Today and for the next few weeks, I will be sharing my love for Japanese Pop/Rock Music! Yay!!!
My first entry will be about the popular girl idol group AKB48. The group currently has 48 members who are split into three teams name Team A, Team K, and Team B. AKB48 is not the same as other idol groups because they perform in a theater in the Don Quijote building in Akihabara. Based on an interview of Yasushi Akimoto, its founder, the concept of AKB48 is "an idol whom you can always meet". Therefore, the group quickly rose to fame and gained lots of fans, mostly men who loves anime ("otakus") and girl groups ("wotas"). Not all 48 members get to sing in singles. Only the top idols who have a huge fanbase can participate. Since last year, they are conducting an election for the "Senbatsu" members, or the members who will represent AKB48 always. The group also carries the system of "graduation" of members. Every now and then, members "graduate" and new fresh girls come in. The average age of all of its members is 18 years old.
Why do I like them then? Well, first of all, they are soooooo cute and pretty!!! Of course some are just okay, but there are girls who are very charming and eye-catching! Second, their songs are very melodious and speaks inspirational messages that can be related in real life situations. Lastly, I love their dance steps and kawaii hand gestures~~~!! It makes me want to dance with them too~! I actually performed a dance during my grandmother's birthday using their songs. I mixed Iiwake Maybe, Bingo!, and RIVER and copied the dance steps. Although most of their fans are guys, I am very proud to be an AKB48 Fan Girl~~@@@!!! woohoo!!
Some songs that I love are RIVER, which topped the Oricon charts (something like the Billboard in the US) for weeks last year, Iiwake Maybe, Oogoe Diamond, Bingo! and lots more!
Here are some of their music videos:
Boku No Taiyou (2007):
Bingo! (2007):
There are also many sub-groups born out of AKB48. My favorite sub-group is Watari Rouka Hashiritai. It composes of 5 girls, three of which are in my top ten favorites.They were originally four, but last March, a new member joined them.
Here are two of their best singles:
Seishun No Flag (2010):
Kanpeki Guu No Ne (2009):
In my opinion, AKB48 is simply THE BEST!
Next week, I will be introducing my top five favorite AKB48 members ^U^
